The present invention addresses the problem of providing an adhesive composition which has excellent curability and adhesiveness. The present invention provides: an adhesive composition which contains (A) a cationically polymerizable compound, (B) a radically curable compound containing a (meth)acrylic compound (b1) having a hydroxyl group, (C) a cationic polymerization initiator and (D) a radical polymerization initiator, and which is characterized in that the content of the cationically polymerizable compound (A) is within the range of 41-88% by mass of the adhesive composition; and a polarizing plate which is obtained using this adhesive composition. Since an adhesive composition according to the present invention has excellent curability, adhesiveness and water resistance, this adhesive composition is suitable for use in the production of IT-related products, and is particularly suitable for use in the production of a polarizing plate. |
