The present invention relates to a system for providing a user history analysis through smart TV-based circumstantial recognition, which analyzes and provides a TV usage history of a user by using a motion recognition sensor and, more specifically, to a system which comprises: a terminal which displays received image information on a screen; a motion recognition sensor which analyzes an image taken by a camera to recognize a motion; a set top box which is connected to the motion recognition sensor and the terminal, recognizes at least one preset event from the information sensed by the motion recognition sensor, extracts TV usage history information of a user, and provides the TV usage history information to a service server; and the service server which receives the TV usage history information for respective users from the set top box, analyzes the received TV usage history information, and provides personalized services.
