PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus which treat chronic total occlusion (CTOs), especially the chronic total occlusion hard to be treated.SOLUTION: CTO recanalization is carried out by constituting a guide wire 100a and a guide wire 100b to be functioned as an electrode or a lead wire, passing an antegrade guide wire 100a through a proximal end of an occlusion and passing a retrograde guide wire 100b through a distal end of the occlusion, and performing high-frequency wave cauterization on the occlusion between both of the guide wires with output from an RF generator 10.
