PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system, radio terminal, radio base station, and radio communication method that reduce consumption power of the radio terminal while enabling communication using multiple component carriers.SOLUTION: The invention is a radio communication system in which a radio terminal is able to perform communication with a radio base station by use of multiple component carriers (CC) with different frequencies. The radio communication system includes: reception start timing control means for commonly controlling cycles of reception start timing of predetermined channels between at least part of component carriers (CC) allocated to the radio terminal; and component carrier control means for individually deactivating each of the component carriers (CC) allocated to the radio terminal. |
