PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a concentrically wound coil and a molding apparatus for forming, simply in a short time, a concentrically wound coil the coil end part of which is formed into a plurality of mutually different nonlinear shapes.SOLUTION: A method for forming, from a wound-round rectangular conducting wire 28, a concentrically wound coil in which a coil end part protruding from an axial end part of a stator core is formed into a plurality of mutually different nonlinear shapes involves: forming the coil end part into the plurality of mutually different nonlinear shapes in one step by moving, in stroke-like manner, a mold in a prescribed direction relative to the rectangular conducting wire which is set in place; inserting a coil end corresponding portion of the rectangular conducting wire into a prescribed space and bending it in the lamination direction by using fin-shaped molds 42 which are juxtaposed in the lamination direction via the prescribed space around the rectangular conducting wire and into which the coil end corresponding portion of the rectangular conducting wire is set; and bending the corresponding portion of the rectangular conducting wire in an orthogonal direction by using external shape molding molds 44 which have a working surface orthogonal to the lamination direction of the rectangular conducting wire and which are configured and set integrally with the fin-shaped molds, and advancing bending work on the corresponding portion of the rectangular conducting wire from the center side to both external sides. |
