<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe assembly having a slidable flange.SOLUTION: In a pre-use or packaged state, a slidable flange 212 is positioned around a syringe barrel 214 of a syringe 200 in a tilted manner, resulting in a syringe assembly 10 having a smaller packaging footprint. The smaller packaging footprint allows reduced storage space of the syringe assembly. Upon a move from a packaging and/or storage space, the flange can be slid and locked into place such that it extends in a perpendicular direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the syringe barrel 214 to allow conventional operation of the syringe.</p> |
