The present invention pertains to a rivet contact comprising a head and a foot which is smaller in width than the head, the rivet contact being characterized in that: at least the upper surface of the head comprises a contact layer made from an Ag-based contact material; the remainder of the head and the foot comprise a base material made from Cu or a Cu alloy; and the contact interface between the contact material and the base material is provided with a barrier layer made from an Ag alloy. Herein, it is preferable for the Ag alloy which constitutes the barrier layer to be an Ag alloy obtained by adding 0.03-20 mass% of one or more of the following base metals to Ag: Sn, In, Cu, Ni, Fe, Co, W, Mo, Zn, Cd, Te, and Bi. |
