Provided is a system and method for automated management of business partners and their associated assets in favor of, and on behalf of, a plurality of business enterprises in the form of a single owner managed generic system for a variety of common business activities. A common set of business process user interfaces, database schema and metadata, enterprise eMail integration methods, and complementary methodologies are implemented around a generic work identifier. The work identifier is a unique handle to a particular business activity regardless of the many types of business activities, and is used to correlate business partner data with related eMail activities. Data is stored, managed, joined, associated, and correlated using the work identifier for a variety of rich business functionality across a variety of business enterprise common mission critical business partner and asset management requirements. |
