A radar apparatus (1), which transmits high-frequency signals, and which detects a subject by means of reflected waves reflected by means of the subject has: a transmission antenna (110) that transmits the high-frequency signals; a reception antenna (120) that receives the reflected waves, which have been transmitted by means of the transmission antenna and reflected by means of the subject; and a dummy antenna (150) for attenuating the reflected waves reflected by means of a structure constantly disposed on a transmission path of the high-frequency signals. The dummy antenna is configured such that the antenna can be selected to be an antenna having other functions.
