An electric field-driven display device comprises: a first substrate; first and second control circuits on the first substrate; an insulation layer positioned on the substrate so as to cover the first and second control circuits; a first and second contact electrodes on the insulation layer; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a barrier structure interposed between the first and second substrates to define a plurality of spaces by means of horizontal and vertical barriers; a driving body disposed in the space, and provided with a first driving part comprising conductive particles and a second driving part comprising cholesteric liquid crystal, so that the driving body can move due to the potential difference between the first and second contact electrodes and the first and second control circuits; and a shading member, disposed on the second substrate, for defining an open area and a shaded area and equipped so as to be opened or closed in accordance with the movement of the driving body.
