<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress folding and dirt of paper during paper return in two-sided printing.SOLUTION: In the case where paper P is carried to an inversion mechanism by paper return processing after completion of printing on a surface, when a rear end of the paper P is located on a platen 50, the paper P is carried at first carrying speed V1, and after the rear end of the paper P passes through the top surface of the platen 50, until the rear end of the paper P is nipped by a carrying roller 44, the paper P is carried at second carrying speed V2 faster than the first carrying speed V1. Thus, the paper P can be carried smoothly without being caught in an uneven portion of the platen 50, and after the rear end of the paper P passes through the platen 50, the paper P can be promptly carried to the carrying roller 44.</p> |
