ACTUATING DEVICE FOR STRETCHING OUT FAN BLADES OF MECHANICAL FAN An actuating device (2) is adapted for use in a 5 mechanical fan. The mechanical fan includes a rotating base (3) and a plurality of fan blades (4). The actuating device (2) includes a plurality of first holders (21) adapted to be connected detachably to the rotating base (3), a plurality of rotatingmembers (23), and a driving 10 strip (26) . Each rotating member (23) has a lower end portion (232) connected rotatably to a respective first holder (21) , an upper end portion (231) adapted to be connected co-rotatably to a respective fan blade (4), and a gear portion (233) interconnecting the lower and 15 upper end portions (232, 231) . The driving strip (26) is trained on and meshes with the gear portions (233) of the rotating members (23). During rotation of the rotating base (3) and the first holders (21), the fan blades (4) are driven by a centrifugal force to 20 synchronously swing with respect to the first holders (21), respectively, from a retracted state to a stretched-out state.
