PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concave tapered conical gear in which the teeth surface has a center recessed shape and which has a taper lead shape in which the cross section of the tooth thickness is tapered in the direction of the tooth trace, and in which the tooth height in the direction of the tooth trace is set to a predetermined dimension, whereby bending fatigue strength in the vicinity of tooth root is improved. SOLUTION: The concave tapered conical gears mesh with each other via a diagonal axis, in which the diameter of a tooth bottom and the Minor T.I.F. diameter in the direction of the tooth trace on the tooth surface are constant.
