[Class 132 (ii)] A sole plate for a wooden headed golf club such as a driver, brassie or spoon consists of a metal plate in the form of the initial letter of the name of the club, the edges of the letter conforming with and being located along the front and rear edges of the base of the head. Fig. 2 shows a brassie so fitted. In a modification the identifying letter is short of the front and rear edges of the sole, and metal plates conforming with the adjacent portions of the letter are located with the outer edges on the edges of the base of the head, as shown for a driver in Fig. 8.
