The present invention aims to reuse waste ropes as a vehicle interior sheet. A method for manufacturing filaments using the ropes includes the steps of collecting the ropes made of polypropylene; removing impurities attached on the ropes collected; cutting the ropes from which the impurities are removed; cleaning the ropes cut; drying the ropes to make the ropes have moisture content of 0-3%; and breaking the surfaces of the ropes with a surface breaking device so as to make the ropes into filaments. According to the present invention, the vehicle interior sheet material can be used as a core material for trunk mat, a sheet back, a board of a vehicle or the like.
