<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator installed in a tall building and an elevator operation method, that can maintain mass balance between a weight and an elevator car even when there are incoming and outgoing of passengers into and from the elevator car.SOLUTION: An elevator 100 includes: a first winder 202 and a second winder 203, provided respectively on a bottom of an elevator car 101 and a bottom of a weight 103 to wind or deliver a compensation rope 201 provided being hung in a hoistway 110 so as to compensate a rope self-weight; and a control portion 107 that performs the control to deliver or wind the compensation rope on the basis of a time table, the number of passengers in waiting image-captured by a floor camera 208, a weight of passengers detected by a weight sensor 204 and the like so that the car and the weight balance in mass.</p> |
