PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member for a pipe joint capable of reliably stopping water between the inner circumference of a socket and the outer circumference of the seal member even when external pressure is applied to the pipe joint.SOLUTION: The seal member 17 has an annular valve part 18 which is held between the inner circumference of a socket 15 and the outer circumference of an insertion port 16 and is compressed in the radial direction, wherein the valve part 18 has a lip part 24 over the whole circumference on the outer circumference side, and the lip part 24 has a first pressure receiving surface 24b for receiving the external pressure P1 which is radially externally applied between the inner circumference of the socket 15 and the outer circumference of the insertion port 16. |
