PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining tool wherein a mesh basket is manually rotated without using a power supply such as a battery, and which allows use even during preparation by continuously rotating the mesh basket at high speed in one direction by only one-handedly grasping a lever or detaching the hand, and efficiently removing water or oil from food put in the mesh basket. SOLUTION: A first string body 300 connected to the lever 225 is wound around a rotary shaft 150, the string body is pulled by grasping the lever to normally rotate the rotary shaft, and a coil spring 400 installed through a second rewinding string body 350 connected to the rotary shaft is pulled to store urging force. When detaching the hand from the lever to stop and relax the pulling of the first string body, the stored urging force of the coil spring is released, the second string body reversely rotate the rotary shaft, and the first string body is rewound, so that preparation of the second pulling is performed. Only the normal rotation of the continuous normal and reverse rotation obtained by repeating it is transmitted to the rotationally connected mesh basket 100 through a one-way clutch 550.
