PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which has an excellent temperature control function as well as a dust collecting function. SOLUTION: A collector room 9 which houses a slip ring 7 and a brush 8 of a coil type induction motor 1 is connected to a dust collecting part 14 which has a dust collecting room 15 and a dust collecting fan 16 via a wind tunnel 12, the dust collecting fan 16 generates winds inside the wind tunnel 12 and takes outdoor air inside the collector room 9 to maintain the inside of the collector room 9 at negative pressure, and in this state powder dust B generated by the brush 8 is collected in the dust collecting room 15 via the wind tunnel 12. A damper 17 is provided in the wind tunnel 12 and the damper 17 adjusts the air quantity inside the wind tunnel 12 to control the amount of outer air to take inside the collector room 9 in order to control the internal temperature of the collector room 9, according to the comparison result of the preset temperature T0 previously set by a temperature control part 18 and the temperature T1 inside the collector room 9 which is detected by a temperature sensor 19.
