PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device for suppressing unnecessary data communication and improving convenience of system operation. SOLUTION: A network device comprises: an own setting parameter storage part 102 and automatic setting list storage part 103 which store device information, a device level, setting items, setting information on each setting item, and a setting level of each setting item of its own device; the automatic setting list storage part 103 which stores device information and a device level of another device; a setting information processing part 107 which extracts a setting term of its own device satisfying a predetermined condition as a setting term capable of being set automatically by the other device by comparing the setting level of each setting item stored in the own setting parameter storage part 102 with the device level of the other device stored in the automatic setting list storage part 103; and a setting transmission part 105 which transmits the setting item extracted by the setting information processing part 107, setting information on the extracted setting term, the device information and the device level of its own device, as automatic setting information, to the other device through a network.
