Systems and methods for providing digital text to a user of a mobile equipment (ME) (104) are described. In one embodiment, the method comprises triggering an application (120) on a smart card (102) upon receiving an event generated by the ME (104). The method further comprises retrieving, by the application (120), the digital text from the smart card (102) and rendering the digital text to the user through the ME (104).
