<p>The present invention relates to a solid acid catalyst made by linkage of sulfonic acid to silica having nanoporosity and a method for dehydrating one of sugar alcohol series (polyol) such as sorbitol, mannitol, xylitol, galactitol, fucitol, iditol and arabinitol or a mixture thereof by using the solid acid catalyst. Using the solid acid catalyst, according to the present invention, is allowed to dehydrate sugar alcohol series for a short reaction time at relatively low temperatures and use sugar alcohol series via catalyst regeneration for a long time.</p> |
