PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of improving gas diffusion characteristics of a cathode catalyst layer.SOLUTION: A fuel cell 1 comprises: an electrolyte membrane 4; an anode catalyst layer 5 and an anode gas diffusion layer 6 provided on one surface of the electrolyte membrane 4; and a cathode catalyst layer 7 and a cathode gas diffusion layer 8 provided on the other surface of the electrolyte membrane 4. The cathode catalyst layer 7 includes catalyst carrying conductive particles or bonded particles formed of an aggregate thereof bonded by a proton conductive resin, and the mean diameter of a void between the bonded particles is larger than that of a void in the bonded particles. |
