PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety to gas during an alarm stop, in a gas alarm including a function of stopping an alarm by an operation of an alarm stop switch. SOLUTION: This alarm detects a CO concentration by a gas sensor 2 by a microcomputer 1. When the detection concentration reaches a preset alarm concentration, the alarm generates the alarm. When the operation of the alarm stop switch 3 is performed, the alarm stops the alarm. The alarm selects an alarm stop time from 60 sec, 30 sec, and 10 sec according to a value of the detection concentration at a time point of the alarm stop. The alarm monitors the gas concentration or a detection concentration gradient during the alarm stop. The alarm makes the alarm stop time shorter as the detection concentration detected by the gas sensor 2 during the alarm stop becomes higher. The alarm makes the alarm stop time shorter as the detection concentration gradient detected by the gas sensor 2 during the alarm stop becomes higher.
