摘要 The quality controlled coating device comprises a coating apparatus 110, 1210 and a monitoring apparatus 120, 1220. At least a part of the monitoring apparatus 120, 1220 is located so as to have insight in an interior of the coating apparatus 110, 1210, the interior accommodating the solid dosage form to be coated and a precursor for forming the coating. The monitoring apparatus is configured for monitoring the property of the coating of the solid dosage form simultaneously with and during a coating process using low coherence interferometry. The interferometry is preferably while light interferometry or optical coherence tomography using light having wavelength = 400-8000nm. The preferred coating process uses a rotating drum, tumble system or fluid bed. Post-processing is controlled in response to the detected thickness or homogeneity of the coating.
