<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous motor drive system by a sensorless control system in which the need of performing complicated processing is eliminated and it is possible to simultaneously perform estimation of a rotation angle and magnetic pole discrimination, in other words, an estimation range is not -90°≤Δθ≤+90° but is -180°≤Δθ≤+180°, in low speed sensorless control of a synchronous motor including a rotor coil to which a diode is inserted. <P>SOLUTION: The synchronous motor drive system includes a synchronous motor 7 and a controller 1 for controlling the synchronous motor 7. The synchronous motor includes: a stator 4 provided with a stator coil; and a rotor 3 provided with a rotor coil 5 to which a diode is inserted. The controller 1 includes: a high frequency magnetic flux generation control part 11 for generating a high frequency magnetic flux command for making the stator 4 generate a high frequency magnetic flux; and a rotation angle estimation part 14 for calculating an index corresponding to presence/absence of a current flowing to the diode on the basis of at least one of a high frequency voltage and a high frequency current generated in the stator coil corresponding to the high frequency magnetic flux command, and also estimating the rotation angle of the synchronous motor 7 on the basis of the calculated index. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
