摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image quality adjustment/inspection method for a projection image by a new irradiation method using fiber illumination. SOLUTION: Light emitted from a light source is separated into RGB, each color luminous flux is divided into at least four, and each divided light is projected onto each color liquid crystal panel so as to be projected onto the four corners of a screen. Each divided light is emitted from a fiber emission part 25 in a liquid crystal panel holding part 6, reflected by a mirror 38, passes through a diffusion sheet 39 and a polarizing plate 40, and is projected onto the liquid crystal panel 41 held in front of the dichroic prism 42 of an optical unit 1. Images projected onto the four corners of the screen are imaged by color cameras arranged in respective positions. The brightness data of the imaged image is integrated in X and Y directions, to obtain dispersion of the integrated value. A focus value showing the degree of focusing is calculated from the dispersion value and the position and rotational angle of the liquid crystal panel are determined on the basis of the calculated focus value.
