摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide not only a magnetic field adjusting apparatus for shortening work time in shimming work but also a magnetic field adjusting method capable of reducing the number of times of the excitation and degauss of a superconductive coil. SOLUTION: A housing container 7 having an opening part 7c in a direction different from the lamination direction of magnetic body pieces 5 used in shimming is arranged on a shim tray so as to directly access to the magnetic body pieces desired to be altered to shorten the time required in the shimming. Further, the first magnetic field distribution made by the magnetizing distribution due to the superconductive coil in the magnetic bodies installed around a magnetic field generator is calculated, the second magnetic field distribution made by the superconductive coil is calculated and the first prior magnetizing distribution in the shim tray making the first difference magnetic field distribution between the synthetic magnetic field distribution of both of them and a target magnetic field distribution is calculated. A first shim iron distribution generating the first prior magnetizing distribution by the third magnetic field distribution made in the shim tray by the superconductive coil is calculated and, on the basis of it, a static magnetic field is generated in a predetermined space by the superconductive coil after the magnetic body pieces are arranged to measure the static magnetic field.
