PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve acceleration response of an engine upon an acceleration request made by a driver in a supercharged engine with an EGR device. SOLUTION: When an acceleration request for an engine is made and the pressure within an air intake passage 10 is higher than that within an exhaust passage 16, an EGR valve 24 is opened. Thereby air is forced to flow from the air intake passage 10 through the EGR passage 22 into the exhaust passage 16, increasing a volume flow rate of gas flowing into a turbine 8. In this case, a cooling water valve 40 is closed to suppress cooling of the gas passing through the EGR passage 22 with EGR coolers 26A, 26B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
