Disclosed is a data security technology that can improve the security of stored data in a cloud network environment without installing separate encryption software or hardware in a server or a terminal. According to the present invention, an apparatus for securing data in a cloud network environment comprises: a signal receiving part that receives a signal in a wired/wireless communications channel; a packet capturing part that separates a packet from the signal received by the signal receiving part and captures the packet; a determination part that analyzes the packet and determines whether the packet is an uplink packet transmitted from a terminal to a server or a downlink packet transmitted from the server to the terminal; and an encryption/decryption part that encrypts the packet if the packet is an uplink packet, and decrypts the packet if the packet is a downlink packet.
