<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forgery preventive medium, a forgery preventive label, printed matter or transfer foil remarkably difficult to forge or imitate, and a method for determining authenticity of the forgery preventive medium. <P>SOLUTION: The forgery preventive medium including a fluorescent two-color coloring matter layer has a latent image formed with at least unidirectional polarization information by controlling the orientation of the fluorescent two-color coloring matter. The forgery preventive medium is irradiated with linear polarized ultraviolet rays, and the fluorescent emission is observed to determine the authenticity of the forgery preventive medium according to whether the predetermined fluorescent emission latent image becomes visible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
