PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector assembly jig capable of substantially improving workability when remounting a ferrule on a housing in an optical connector for a removable device. SOLUTION: This optical connector assembly jig is used when assembling an optical connector for a removal device with the positions of a ferrule, a coil spring, and a stopper fixed thereto, and has such an external shape as to be insertable into a ferrule mounting section. The optical connector assembly jig is mounted on a guide section (for example, a guide pin) of the ferrule and, before the tip end face of the stopper reaches the rear end face of the housing, the optical connector assembly jig is inserted into the ferrule mounting section of the housing to guide the ferrule to the ferrule mounting section.
