PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin sorting machine that prevents occurrence of jamming as a coin is caught between an edge of a sorting hole and a sorting guide member when conveyed along a coin conveyance surface as the sorting guide member moves to a move-on position. SOLUTION: A coin sorting machine 10 is so configured that, when a sorting guide member 20 moves to the move-on position, a coin conveyed along a coin conveyance surface 12 is released by the sorting guide member 20 from being supported by a release part 15 to fall from the coin conveyance surface 12 through a sorting hole 16. A far edge 16a of the sorting hole 16 is so shaped that a coin with any diameter is not caught between the sorting guide member 20 at the move-on position and the far edge 16a of the sorting hole 16 when the coin is conveyed along the coin conveyance surface 12 as the sorting guide member 20 moves to the move-on position.
