PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepreg useful for production of a laminate excellent in mechanical strength and peel strength. SOLUTION: The method for producing a prepreg is provided, which includes the steps of: forming a resin-impregnated reinforcing fiber layer obtained by impregnating reinforcing fibers with a first resin composition containing a first crosslinkable resin and a first inorganic filler; and forming an outside resin layer comprising a second resin composition containing a second crosslinkable resin and a second inorganic filler on the both surfaces of the resin-impregnated reinforcing fiber layer, wherein an average particle size of the first inorganic filler is less than that of the second inorganic filler.
