The present invention relates to a method and system for automatically adjusting the operation of a fan, and a computer program implementing the method. The method comprises:
- determining the actual rotational speed (Vel) value of the fan, measuring the electric current consumed and determining, from said measured current, the actual electrical power (Pot) consumed by the fan motor,
- calculating the actual working point (x) of the fan from several characteristic curves of the fan and based on the determined actual speed (Vel) value and determined actual electrical power (Pot) value, and
- using the calculated actual working point (x) for establishing the new rotational speed (Vaj) value for the fan also based on a selected operating criterion. The system comprises a control unit with a memory storing characteristic curves and implementing the method of the invention. The program includes instructions implementing the steps of the method of the invention. |
