[Class 83 (ii)] [See also Group XIV] A bookrest comprising essentially a back 1, a bottom member 2, two ends 3, 4, and a strut member 5 serving to tilt the rest backwardly is formed by bending up a single blank 6, Fig. 2. Marginal portions 18 form flanges 17 in the completed article, and portions 19 are bent over to stiffen the strut 5 and its triangular extensions. The parts are secured by spot welding or soldering, and the rest may be enamelled or painted. |
