[Class 7 (iv)] A condenser C is charged with a current having a voltage of the order of 1000 volts and i s discharged directly across the electrodes of a sparking- plug having a gap of less than 0À3 mm. The condenser may be charged as well as discharged across the sparking-plug electrodes. A plug is used in which the surface of the insulation is flush with the spark gap. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 shows plugs having rectangular, cruciform, annular, spiral, and stelliform gaps. This subject - matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.</p> |
