PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a conventional limit of achieving high power by sufficiently securing the amount of return air even if, for example, an exhaust passage of a screw driving machine with an exhaust air returning structure is expanded in diameter and the exhaust efficiency is increased since achieving high power is conventionally limited as, when the exhaust passage is expanded in diameter and high power is achieved, the return air becomes insufficient and failure occurs. SOLUTION: The exhaust passage 26 is expanded in diameter to achieve high power. Alternatively, an exhaust valve 20 is installed on the exhaust passage 26 so that a sufficient amount of return air can be consumed by narrowing the exhaust passage 26 by the exhaust valve 20 when a piston returns.
