PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing apparatus that reduces a stack fault. SOLUTION: The sheet processing apparatus includes: a staple tray 11 that sequentially stacks a sheet having been conveyed; rear end fences 13a and 13b that are disposed at a rear end in a sheet convey direction of the staple tray 11; a hitting roller 12 that, each time the sheet is conveyed to the staple tray 11, backs the conveyed sheet and puts a rear end of the sheet up to the rear end fences 13a and 13b; and pressing members 10a and 10b that, each time the sheet is put up to the rear end fences 13a and 13b, press the put-up sheet against the staple tray 11.
