PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable nonwoven fabric enabling sufficient cooling and solidification in a restricted cooling zone in the case of producing the nonwoven fabric by a spun-bond method, having good openability and yarn-making property of the constituent fiber, and having excellent flexibility of the nonwoven fabric while keeping practical mechanical properties. SOLUTION: The biodegradable nonwoven fabric includes continuous fibers comprising an aliphatic polyester polymer. The aliphatic polyester polymer comprises 1,4-butanediol and succinic acid as main constitution components and contains 0.1-2.0 mass% of a higher fatty acid metal salt or a phenylphosphonic acid metal salt containing a divalent or multivalent metal and 0.1-2.0 mass% of an amide wax.
