<p>The present invention relates to a harmonic suppressor and an air conditioner including the same. The harmonic suppressor according to an embodiment of the present invention is to suppress harmonic generated by a non-linear load powered by AC power from the grid. The harmonic suppressor comprises a power conversion unit, which converts predetermined DC power into predetermined AC power and outputs the power between the grid and the non-linear load; and a harmonic control unit, which controls switching operation of the power conversion unit. The harmonic control unit detects difference between the harmonic phase of an AC supplied to the load and the harmonic phase of an AC output from the power conversion unit. Also, the harmonic control unit outputs a switching control signal based on the phase difference in order to compensate multi-band harmonic components of the AC supplied to the load. Therefore, harmonic can be suppressed.</p> |
