The plate intended for insulation and/or drainage purposes for building walls is cut to a required size (in particular, to a story height) out of a foam block. Independent claims are also included for: (A) a method for producing the proposed insulation and/or drainage plate; (B) a method for applying the proposed insulation and/or drainage plate.
