PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient compaction of concrete and avoid a trouble due to biting into a reinforcement. SOLUTION: This concrete vibrator 21 includes a vibrating body 1 constructed so that the rotating direction of an eccentric weight 9 is switchable, the vibrating body having a groove 6 formed as a spiral irregularity in the outer face. The groove is formed so that vibration is propagated obliquely upward from the vibration body 1 when the eccentric weight 9 is right-rotated in the state that the front end of the vibrating body 1 is in a downward attitude and the vibration is propagated obliquely downward from the vibrating body 1 when it is left-rotated.
