A vaporisable material comprising plant material for use in a vapour-generating device having a moisture content of about 5 wt% or less is disclosed. The invention also relates to use of the vaporisable material in a vapour-generating device 1, and to a sealed package (20, figure 2) containing the vaporisable material and a device containing the sealed package of vaporisable material. The preferred plant material is tobacco and the preferred moisture content is 4 wt%. The material may further comprise a humectant, preferably propylene glycol (propane-1,2-diol) in an amount of 20 60 wt%, most preferably 40 50 wt%. Alternatively, glycerin may be used as humectants. The vapour-generating device may be a tobacco heating device using a battery-operated, electric heater or a fuel-combusting heater 12. The sealed package may be a gas-impermeable container or capsule, which opens upon heating. |
