an instrument for gripping the implant comprising two portions able to adopt a position of holding the implant and an open position enabling the implant to be gripped or released once the implant is implanted, said portions being arranged relative to each other for delimiting a reception housing of a locking element when said portions are in the position of holding the implant, and the locking element configured to lock the portions in the position of holding the implant, the locking element comprising attachment means arranged to come into engagement with complementary attachment means provided on the portions, said attachment means and said complementary attachment means forming a sliding connection.
