a rotor having an axis of rotation, mechanical or electronic means for processing whole blood or blood components within the rotor, a computer controlling blood processing operations the computer being mounted to the rotor and spinning therewith,the computer mounted to and spinning with the rotor and communicating with a second stationary computer disposed in a remote location from the rotor,
wherein, the second stationary computer in conjunction with the rotating computer controls the centrifuge system operations, wherein said computer and said second computer are managed by software programs that direct the blood processing operations of the blood processing centrifuge system.
