[Class 20 (iii)] Sashes 5, 6 of unequal depth, of the kind which are balanced one against the other, by chains or the like 12, so that when reversed by sliding the upper sash 6 down to the sill a ventilation opening 15 is left at the lintel, have the chain secured to blocks which are adjustably clamped to the sashes by accessible screws 17 passing through slots 18. The pulleys 13 are mounted on removable screwed studs 20. Sash lifts 14 may be provided on the lower sash 5. The lower or smaller sash may be weighted with thicker glass than that of the upper. |
