<p>A method and an apparatus for drying a coating film are provided to suppress generation of non-uniformity in an initial drying step after coating and to uniformly dry the coating film without changing the kind of solvent or characteristics such as viscosity. A dry zone surrounding a dried coating surface of a continuous support(12) traveling after coating comprises a first drying wind zone(35) where one way drying wind, flowing from one side to the other side in the width direction of the continuous support, is supplied, a windless drying zone(36) where no drying wind is blown, and a second drying wind zone(37) where one way drying wind, flowing from one side to the other side in the width direction of the continuous support, is supplied. A coating film formed on the continuous support is dried by conveying the continuous support through the first drying wind zone, the windless drying zone, and conveying the second drying wind zone in sequence.</p> |
