An objective of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for a transmission type ultrasonic wave inspection, which removes bubbles remaining at a lower surface of a specimen stand on which a specimen is seated so that an efficient inspection can be performed. The apparatus (100) for an ultrasonic wave inspection includes: a water tank (19) to accommodate water (5); a specimen stand (2) disposed in the water tank (19) and on which a specimen (1) is placed; a first ultrasonic transducer (3) to irradiate ultrasonic waves toward the specimen (1); and a second ultrasonic transducer to receive the ultrasonic waves transmitted through the specimen, in which the first and second ultrasonic transducers face each other in a vertical direction, and a hydrophilic film is formed on a lower surface (23) of the specimen stand (2).
