The purpose of the present invention, according to an embodiment, is to provide a smart card device for sharing information between medical information systems using smart card authentication and an operating method thereof. The operating method comprises the following steps: compressing and converting existing medical image files to perform a medical information linkage function via VHBR communication; using RF communication to store and search the medical image information as data in a smart card; managing access through smart card authentication for security of the medical information in the smart card; and recording medical information in the smart card. For an information sharing environment between medical information systems, the smart card is a contactless type card. For a file system to store medical records and medical image information, the smart card has a file system control functions including memory control, security authentication, access limit management, data storage, and data search; interface functions for performing RF interface, VHBR communication, data transceiving, and data back-up; and recording functions for recording security authentication files, personal information files, medical information files, medical history files, medical image files and medical record files. |
